The Chairs for Provocation series uses found chairs with battery operated components hidden in the seats and amplifies the imperfections caused by years of wear and tear resulting in a heightened sense of auditory reality. The sounds experienced by the user are the actual sounds made by the furniture; they have been amplified in real time to draw attention to the body language of the participant.
